Laying the Foundations for Our Campervan Electrics
Ah, the exhilarating moment when deciding to venture into the electrifying world of campervan wiring. With the solar panel saga behind us, it was time to tackle the next big thing, laying the foundations for our campervan electrics.
The Planning Phase
Starting with a grand plan, sketching out the electrical layout like a true architect. Wires, switches, fuses, and circuits—all intricately mapped out in a masterpiece that Picasso himself would envy.
Gathering Supplies
Next came the shopping spree. Armed with a list that could rival Santa’s, I hit the Amazon and eBay stores. Cables of every imaginable size filled my cart. The sight of those shiny new components gave me a surge of excitement (pun absolutely intended).
The Installation
Then, it was time for the real action. I donned my metaphorical electrician hat and dove into the installation process. With a toolbox and a “can-do” attitude, I began threading wires through every nook and cranny of the van. It was a delicate ballet of connection, ensuring each wire found its perfect place.
There were, of course, a few comedic moments. Like when I realized I was a couple of feet short on wiring, leading to a frantic dash back to the store. Or when I temporarily became a human Christmas tree, entangled in strings of wires.
But, with color-coded routes for every wire and holes cut in the ply lining kit the van’s interior soon resembled a battle strategy.
