Embarking on our campervan conversion was an exciting adventure for us and planning the layout was one of the most crucial steps. A well-thought-out design will ensure that our space both is functional and comfortable.
We searched for a long time looking at various van layouts as we did not want the traditional side dinette and rock and roll bed. There are many exciting campervan conversion companies and we took inspiration Brown Bird with their innovative campervan layouts.
One of the biggest influences on us was the need for separate kitchen and living space and this was going to be a tall order in such a small space.
Optimise Space
To make the most of the limited space in a Transit Custom by making use of multifunctional furniture. For example, a bench seat that converts into a bed and storage can save space and add practicality. From the outset we decided to not install gas within the campervan instead opting for fully electric.

Planning our campervan layout was all about balancing function and comfort. We took our time, being creative, and enjoyed the process of designing our home on wheels, with a big shout out to Brown Bird for their exceptional designs.
