Our home on wheels

Freddie is a Bessacarr E450 Motorhome on a 2012 Fiat Ducato chassis and has a low-profile body. This means it does not have a bed above the front driver and passenger seats. Although it can still sleep four people comfortably and includes a fixed rear double bed.

Freddie measures in at:

  • Length 7.12 meters / 23 feet 4.3 inches
  • Width 2.24 meters / 7 feet 4.1 inches
  • Height 2.90 meters / 9 feet 6.1 inches

Having a maximum gross weight of 3500Kg can therefore be driven by anyone on a full UK driving licence.

The entrance into the living area of the motorhome is located around midpoint, where you enter direct into the kitchen area, with the living space to the left and fixed rear bed to the right.

Kitchen

The kitchen is well specified with a round stone look sink and chrome mixer tap. A dual fuel hob with three gas burners and an electric hot plate is located to right of the sink, with gas grill, plus oven located beneath and a Sanyo built-in microwave oven overhead. A silver fronted Thetford fridge is located to the left of sink with plenty of upper and lower cabinets to store everything from pots, pans, plates cutlery to provisions, completes the key kitchen items.

Living Area

Located directly behind the vehicle CAB, to the left of the entrance, is the living area comprising of two parallel sofa seats, which converts into a double bed at night, provides ample space in which to relax. The two front vehicle seats also swivel 180o to expand this area to seat six people comfortably. A large dining table that stores away in a cupboard when not in use also converts this area into dining area, above which a large sunroof provides plenty of natural daylight and fresh air.

Rear Bedroom

A feature of the motorhome is the rear fixed double French bed, which raises on gas struts to reveal a large storage area that can also be accessed via an external locker door. Upper aircraft style storage lockers, a sunroof, plus a TV cabinet, completes the bedroom.

Washroom

The washroom is located at the rear of the motorhome comprising of washbasin with chrome mixer tap, shower and a Thetford cassette swiveling toilet with electric flush. The washroom essentially has a separate shower cubicle, as this has two folding Perspex doors to shut it off from the rest of the washroom.
