Chateau de Seguin is a charming wine estate in Bordeaux with a long history. The Chateau that can be seen today, with its two pointed towers, was built in 1780. But Chateau de Seguin is much older, a thousand years older, where traces of the Count of Seguin, Administrator of the Emperor Charlemagne can be found dated in the year 780. A very old noble past is tied to this land, and the impressive number of buildings shows that the property was dedicated to agriculture, livestock and wine (of course).
Now as we love a glass of wine, we thought the Chateau de Seguin wine tour would be fun to go on. On the tour we got to explore the beautiful vineyards, taste the delicious wines (hic), and learn about the rich heritage of this French estate. It was a fun and educational experience with its display of equipment and machinery from 1920, made our day (especially as we purchased a bottle or two from the Chateau).
If you are in the area, don’t miss this opportunity to discover one of the best wine regions in the world!
